Traditional French variety with opulent “melting” flavour
Raised in 1849, this late pear has an excellent rich, sweet, aromatic flavour. Creamy white, melting, very juicy flesh. Fruits are large, but cropping can be irregular. Requires a warm, sheltered site. Unsuitable for the north.
